Amsterdam Typography is a project by Arno Verweij exploring Amsterdam through the lens of typography and creating original designs inspired by historical typography. One or more contemporary photos of typography are published on this website every day at 2 pm local time (CET/CEST). This collection currently contains thousands of items documenting typography in public and semi public spaces in Amsterdam. There is also an archive collection of 1850 historical items from the City Archives and the National Archives that you can explore via a random selection and an interactive map as well.
